Hi! Please introduce yourself. What are your interests?

Hi! I'm Kristina, 21, from Serbia (in Europe). I study English language and literature and art is, well, a hobby of mine, something I really enjoy doing.

Apart from drawing, I also love reading books (I study languages, so it kinda comes with the territory, right? xD But I enjoy it anyways ^^). Let's see...I watch series and anime and read manga  But most of all, I guess, I love travelling 

How did you find Deviantart and how did you decide on your username?

How would you describe your art style?

Hm, my style... First off, I'm a traditional artist, although I'm trying to get more into digital art. Normally, I draw using pencils, and my art is heavily based on anime style, like so:

Could you tell us a bit about how you got involved into art and if you have any goals as an artist?

I drew ever since I can remember basically. I took up some art classes when I was, say, 10-11, but I don't think it's taught me much, so I like to think of myself as a self-taught artist xD Anyway, during my years in high school and first couple of years at the uni, I literally didn't draw at all, and I decided to go back to drawing only recently, so, yeah, I'm kinda rusty  As for the ambitions, I said it earlier, this is only my hobby, and as much as I love doing this, I've decided to pursue my career elsewhere  This, however, doesn't mean I don't plan on improving 

Although I appreciate classical art very much, you might have noticed that chiefly cartoons and anime had a real impact on my style 

We love funfacts - Do you have any for us?

Alright, here's one connected to my drawing: Back in high school, I always had a top grade in biology because I drew bacteria and other such organisms on the board; I never had to do a single test 

What is your least favourite thing to draw and why?

I don't like drawing landscapes... I'm extremely detail-oriented, and there's very little you can do about fine details on a drawing of mountains and skies  I love it when other people do it, don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against landscapes, I just don't like drawing them myself 

Do you have any skills you are famous/popular for?

Special skills, huh? Nothing comes to mind, I don't think I'm famous for anything xD That's reminds me tho, I could really find something to call my 'signature' in my art.... Yup, I think I'll work on that 

Does your direct environment (family, friends, etc.) know about your artistic side?

Yeah, but I don't really go around showing them my stuff, they have seen very little of what I did, and besides, I don't like people watching me draw, don't know why, it's kind of a personal thing for me 

What inspires you usually?

People... People I see on the bus, or on the street, weird people, strange people, characters form TV shows and books... 

Would you like to introduce us to one or two idols you have meet on DA?

There are really so many artists here that I like, but unfortunately, no one in particular comes to mind... I mean, I still didn't get enough time to really explore the site and find people whom I'd admire, so I'd have to get back to you on that one once I really start discovering for real 

Any closuring phrase, quote or artists you would like to promote?

I posted a quote here on DA a couple of weeks back, and it's one of my favorites of all times, so I'm gonna go with that (you might know it): "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer." by H.D. Thoreau

I love drawing people. Why? Probably because you can show character and emotion, and, as I said, people inspire me  But I also enjoy drawing animals sometimes, because they're, well, beautiful xD
